Emergency Operations Center
The Schoharie County EOC is located in the Office of Emergency Services 2783 State Route 7, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
An emergency operations center(EOC) is a central command and control facility responsible for carrying out emergency or disaster management functions at a strategic level during an emergency, and ensuring the continuity of operation of Schoharie County and its towns and villages.
The purpose of the EOC is to support field operations by obtaining and providing resources, maintaining up-to-date information, coordinating activities, providing information to the public, and to bring chief decision-makers together to coordinate their response to a disaster. History has shown that effective, well-coordinated response to disaster situations are conducted best when all decision makers and emergency service chiefs are located in one place.
