The Real Property Tax Services Agency advises and assists county government, local government, property owners and the public in general in the area of real property assessment administration.
Tax maps are updated on a daily basis and new sets are provided annually to each municipality. Copies are also available to the public (see fee schedule).
This office receives information from and prepares assessment rolls for the 16 towns in Schoharie County. All 6 villages have ceased to be assessing units and therefore use the latest final town assessment roll to levy their taxes.
In addition, the Real Property Tax Office produces tax rolls and bills for school, county, town and village tax levies.
Assistance is provided to the Schoharie County Treasurer for the enforcement of delinquent taxes.
