Sheriff’s Snowmobile Patrol

Winter in the Northeast brings out many snowmobile enthusiasts. In an effort to enforce state and local laws and to ensure safety, there are three trained and certified Deputy Sheriffs who patrol over 275 miles of groomed trails. Local snowmobile clubs maintain the trails for everyone to enjoy! New York State provides funding to both the Sheriff’s Snowmobile Patrol and the clubs. With this proactive program snowmobile season is safe and enjoyable! The Sheriff’s snowmobile patrol also assists with organized events within Schoharie County.
