The Civil Office is responsible for the enforcement of non-criminal court orders, such as income executions (wage garnishment) and property executions (property seizure & sale), also for the disbursement of the proceeds to judgment creditors. The Civil Office is required to serve summons, subpoenas, or any other non-criminal matters as directed by the courts. This office also maintains pistol permit records from application to issuance, as well as amendments to add or delete handguns from issued permits. Frequently, staff perform background checks and reports to the Courts and State Registry on a regular basis. Occasionally, seizes weapons and permits as directed by the courts. Additionally, the Civil Office maintains the office budget, payroll and receives and disburses bails and fines for all courts of jurisdiction.
