County Clerk Passport Information

Please keep in mind that after May of 2025, (and unless the government delays that date), you will need something other than just a Driver License for any domestic flights.

Documents that will allow you to travel on Domestic flights are:

  • Enhanced License – visit a DMV Office
  • Real Identification – visit a DMV Office
  • US Passport Book – visit a Passport Acceptance Facility
  • US Passport Card – visit a Passport Acceptance Facility

The Schoharie County Clerk’s Office is an official U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility as designated by the Federal Department of State Bureau of Consular Affair, Office of Passport Services.

Our Office accepts passports every Monday through Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm. We accept passports for brand new applicants, for children 15 years and under, for those 16 or older who had a 5-year issued passport and are now an adult, and for those who have a passport that is expired longer than 15 years from date of issuance. We are always happy to assist and review your renewal applications. Renewal applications will need to be mailed by the applicant. We take photos here for all applicants for $10.00 per photo.
